Shayla has had a passion for animals from a very young age and grew up surrounded by animals big and small. She has been a veterinary technician for over a decade, including large animal medicine. She enjoys helping all animals and her love for animals and understanding of their own individual needs lead her to start Peace of Mind Pet Care LLC. With previous experience working in large boarding facilities, she found that many pets did not fare well in such intense environments. She started pet sitting part-time to provide a less stressful option for those anxious dogs and found that many pets were more comfortable and happy in their own homes. Their owners were able to enjoy their vacations knowing their pets were well taken care of and safe! Shayla now works per diem as an urgent care veterinary technician. This allows Shayla to focus on the POMPC pets and spend more time with the animals that love her. 
Shayla resides in Weare, NH with her boyfriend Josh, her beloved dogs Moose and ChonkaMunk, and her cat Mojito. She has 3 horses, Junie, Whiskey and Boone. While not walking dogs and taking care of pets she can be found horseback riding, reading, or going for hikes with her dogs.
